24 year old Azealia Banks is more known for her feuds than she is her music, it seems. The latest person on her list of battles is former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin.
It all began when a site reported that Sarah Palin told a local Alaskan newspaper, “I’m telling you, I’ve been saying it for years, but nobody’s listening – slavery wasn’t forced onto African-Americans, they accepted it willingly.”
Only one major problem, the site that reported this Sarah Palin quote was a satire site. Which means, the entire story was fake. Unfortunately, no one told Azealia Banks and it wasn’t long before she unleashed a ton of tweets letting the former VP candidate have it.
“Hideous. At least suck a n*gga d*ck or summ before you start talking sh*t about black people willingly accepting slavery,” Banks tweeted. She then insisted on finding the “biggest burliest blackest negroes” to run a train on Palin and film it for Worldstar.
Apparently Sarah Palin caught wind of Azealia’s tweets and took to her Facebook page to address her. “Hey Female Rapper – listen up, little darling,” Palin wrote. “No one has any idea what you’re wigging out about in these bizarre, violent rants against me, but you’re obviously not exercising enough intelligence to acknowledge you’ve been sucked into believing some fake interview in which I supposedly offered comments representing the antithesis of my truth.”
Palin then goes on to say that she’s going to go through her daughter’s iPod to “ make sure there hasn’t been any inadvertent addition of any anti-woman, pro-rape garbage that you seem to endorse, which perpetuates the cultural challenges we face in America.”
It didn’t stop there though, Palin told PEOPLE that she planned to sue Banks over her comments. “For the first time I’m going to enjoy the only retribution some protected ‘celebrities’ seem to understand – I’m suing Azealia Banks and can’t wait to share my winnings with others who have gone defenseless against lies and dangerous attacks far too long.”
Azealia Banks then wrote a lengthy apology letter on her Tumblr page, which you can read HERE. Later tweeting, “If Sarah Palin actually decides to sue me i’ll only use the controversy to make myself an even larger American Cultural Figure.”
She then went on to continue cracking her jokes, claiming Palin was “spreading cheeks” for Donald Trump.
Girl Azealia, you know them people like to sue. Chill!
