Angela Davis, Solange & More To Appear At Alternative Inauguration Event

There is now an alternative for those who are not looking forward to this year’s presidential inauguration.

The Peace Ball, set to take place on January 19 at the National Museum of African American History & Culture, is a celebratory gathering of “artists, activists and progressives.” While the event isn’t protesting Donald Trump, it’s being seen as an alternative celebration to the festivities honoring him.

Unlike the inauguration, this event seems to have had no issues with booking talent. Some of the big names that are set to attend include Angela Davis, Solange Knowles, Esperanza Spalding, Ashley Judd and Danny Glover.

I’m sure several alternative events will be popping up in the coming weeks. Rest assured you can probably expect some protests too.

  1. I’m tired of people acting like Solange made a classic album, that album was straight garbage, just because you put Master P on your interludes it don’t make it hot b!tch.

  2. Although I wouldn’t call her latest album a “classic”,I beg to differ…Solange has been making great music for a while now!! Her last 2 were classics hands down!!! Her album “Sol Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams” was On Point!!!! Her single T.O.N.Y was fire ?!!!! Please do your research.
