I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Macho Harris, NFL free agent safety most recently of the Pittsburgh Steelers and if he looks familiar, he was also featured as one of BA’s Morning Woods. So, what do you talk about when you get the interview such a fine specimen? Do you talk sports? The weather? Nope! You talk about what us girls really want to know about!
BA: Before we get started, I’m sure everyone wants to know, where did the name Macho come from?
MH: I got that nickname from my Pops. He named me that when I was 2 years old. My real name is Victor Harris Jr. He wanted to give me a masculine name so he called me Macho and it stuck with me ever since.
BA: You recently did a little cooking for SET Magazine, are you really a good cook or is that just for show?
MH: I can put a little recipe together [laughs]. I’m not saying I’m a chef now but I can put two and two together and make something nice.
BA: So, besides cooking it up in the kitchen and football, what other things are you into?
MH: Ummm just working out, staying in shape and getting ready for the season next year. I don’t really do much, I’m a really laid back guy.
BA: You stay pretty under the radar when it comes to your personal life making the front page of gossip blogs, how do you maintain that privacy?
MH: Like I said, I don’t really go out much so I think going out and being in the club scene, I think that’s where situations like that happen. You know, like people snapping shots and you know a picture can say a million things. I just stay under the radar, lay low, don’t really go out much and take it easy.
BA: I’m sure all of the ladies want to know — Are you seeing someone now?
MH: Nah, nah I’m single at the moment.
BA: How should a woman approach you if she is interested?
MH: I want her to have confidence. I want her to approach me with confidence like she doesn’t need me to feel like she looks good. I want to feel that. I want her to keep it real. I think a lot of times people put on a front to paint a picture to be cool, when you can just be you at the end of the day. I won’t judge you. We’ve all been through a lot in life, myself included so I won’t judge you at all.
BA: What do you HONESTLY look for in a woman? What’s your ideal type?
MH: That’s hard…I look for a girl with style, confidence, intelligence. After that I would like to know her a little deeper. See what her heart is talking about. I want to know if she’s caring, loving, faithful, trustworthy, things like that. It takes time to get to know a female.
BA: We featured you on Baller Alert recently, have you been keeping up with the site since then?
MH: Yeah, definitely! I appreciate that as well!
BA: So you know a little about what the site is about, would you feel any differently if you found out your gilfriend frequents the site?MH: I feel like if she’s trying to pursue a career, such as a model, actor or whatever it is, if being on Baller Alert and all of the attention is going to help her accomplish her goals and her dreams, I’m going to support her all the way. It wouldn’t bother me at all as long as it’s strictly business.
BA: Given that the super bowl is coming up, unfortunately the Steelers didn’t make it…Who is your Superbowl pick this year?
MH: I’m gonna go with New York. My hometown.
BA: Do you have anything you wanted to add?
MH: I want to shout out all of my fans for their support, my team and I thank God.
BA: We may have to get some audio of you singing one of these days!
MH: We can work that out! I’m not shy at all
