Baller Alert’s Today in Hip-Hop: Mary J. Blige Released ”You Remind Me” 26 Years Ago

On June 23, 1992, 26 years ago today, #MaryJBlige released her first single “You Remind Me” from her debut album, “What’s the 411?” The single was written by Eric Milteer and produced by Dave “Jam” Hall. The track was originally used for the soundtrack of the 1991 comedy, #StrictlyBusiness.

 

“You Remind Me” was Mary J. Blige’s first Top 40 hit. It reached number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Hot R&B Singles Chart.
