Baller Alert’s Today in Hip-Hop: Wyclef Jean Released “Gone till November” 20 Years Ago

20 years ago today, Wyclef Jean released his third single, “Gone till November”, from his debut solo album, ‘The Carnival’.

Upon its release, the single was well received. Similar to other singles, the song showcased Wyclef’s ability as a solo artist after his departure from the iconic group, The Fugees.

The single was a major success peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart and at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The single spent a total of 20 weeks on the chart. The single was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after selling over a million copies in the United States.
