BALLERIFIC EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW – ANGEL LOLA LUV

Baller Alert requested an Interview with Angel Lola Luv because most of the posts/blogs about her gets numerous responses meaning she is doing something right. We sat down to talk with Angel about her career and here is what she had to say:

1. What are the biggest lessons you have learned from being in the entertainment business?

The biggest lessons that I have learned in the entertainment business is that everything is very very political! I learned and acknowledged that everything that I do and everything that I try to become is not just about me. I have younger girls and females that are from a struggle and not born with a silver spoon in their mouth that I represent who look up to me. I learned that when you do what I do or in the industry period you are under a hell of a microscope so you have to think twice about making certain moves because things might not look good from the outside…. even if that’s not what it really is on the inside. I also learned that you have to lose and sacrifice a lot even money in order to win and last I learned that it’s okay to grow and change to a certain extent as long as you always stay true to yourself and where you came from even if it is from the bottom.

2. If you had to put a label as to who you are what would it be?

If I had to put a label onto who I am it would be a former video vixen/model turned artist/model/actress.

3. How long have you been rapping? Have you considered fusing Hip Hop music and Ethiopian music together?

I’ve been raping since last year. I don’t speak Amharic which is one of the 14 Ethiopian languages. The pronunciations are difficult to get through since my first language is English but I plan on taken time out in the near future to learn how to speak it and then I can fuse Ethiopian music and Hip hop together. There are already Ethiopian rappers that rap in the language also.

4. Now that you are taking your career to the next level as the Boss Bitch rapper are you looking to land a major deal, if so what label would best suit you?

I don’t have a preferred label. I am going with the situation which has my best interest in mind.

5. Being as though you are from the DC metropolitan area, do you feels though DC is as supportive to your career s they could be?

I believe I get a lot of support and love from my city n I believe that comes from them recognizing how hard I go for us and how much I try to put us on. At first it was hard and I had to go through a lot but I still stuck by and said naw fuck that I came from one of the hardest cities out here n that’s what made me, me so it’s impossible for the the little bit of petty hate to break me down. The love I get especially from the hoods over powers the petty bullshit. That’s what makes DC go hard the way we do. Niggas deal with petty hate everyday so me being a female I had to go harder! Of course there are a few none supportive things that go on. For example some promoters would pay anything to book someone from the outside but be petty when we have hella good underground and even major artists in our own city. If we had better support from everyone in the city that could make things happen for the talent and the hoods then we would be so much better in many ways. Either way we are good and I’m going to do what I have to do to make it and be the female representation for my city and hold us down just the way others are playing their part and going hard too.

6. Since baller alert focuses on the life of ballers. What is the most expensive thing you have ever purchased? What was the most expensive thing someone has purchased for you?

One of the most expensive things that someone has purchased for me was a diamond Audemar Piguet watch. I’ve bought myself so many things in thus far so i cant even narrow it down to the most expensive thing.

7. Do you have groupies? If so what was the craziest thing that someone has done to get your attention? Are most of your groupies male or female?

I don’t think I have a lot of groupies because I don’t consider anyone that shows me love as groupies. I appreciate the recognition so much I just end up feeling like anyone showing me love whether they are admiring who I am or what I do as love. Unless they are the fake ones that all of a sudden want to speak and be overly nice when they never did, those are the types I consider groupies. I’ve come across more males ones although I appreciate the love from the males when I get love and support from the females it gives me a whole different feeling. I love it! I think that’s because my movement is mostly for and represents the females.

8. Are you currently dating anyone? If so, what type of person do you look for? What type of person can handle the Boss Bitch that you are?

I currently have a someone in my life that is more than a friend. I like guys that are secure within themselves, confident, have style and swag, can enlighten me. And are on top of their game meaning they get to the money and aren’t content even if they are financially secure because they want more out of life.
