Looks like Louis Vuitton is next on the list of upcoming collaborations for the spring. The French Luxury Brand has decided to partner up with pop artist, Jeff Koons, on a limited line of accessories. The collaboration is inspired by Jeff Koons’ “Gazing Ball” paintings which feature prints of several iconic masterpieces from artists like da Vinci, Titian, Rubens, Fragonard and Van Gogh. The names of the artists will be featured across the front of the classic Louis Vuitton Speedy, Neverfull and Keepall bags in bold metallic print.
In the past, Louis Vuitton has worked with other artist like Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Yayoi Kusama and Stephen Sprouse. Now it’s time for Jeff Koons, whose most famous sculpture, “Balloon Dog,” was auctioned for $58.4 million, setting the record for a living artist’s work.
The Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koon collection will not be as expensive as the “Balloon Dog” painting, but it will be on the pricey side. The prices of the accessories will range from $585-$4,000. Definitely a little steep, but if you have it to splurge, check out the pieces below:
