“When He’s Away” – blogged by: @A_sheWrites

So what’s on your agenda for today, ladies? Maybe you are the everyday working woman, career driven, super-mom with multiple hustles. Maybe you’re the lady of leisure who wakes up, free of duties and couldn’t think of anything more pleasurable than a day of relaxing. No matter which of these women you proclaim yourself to be, It’s always difficult to think of things to do when your lover is out on the town with the guys, on a boys only weekend trip, or away on business. Baller Alert is here to empower the lives of women who want to live a Ballerific lifestyle, thus we would be doing our readers a disservice by not rendering healthy and positive ways to be productive while your beau is away. And so for those who are wondering, this wont be one of those “when the cats away, the mice must play” pieces, delivering so-called feminist antics, at least not for today it won’t.

Now don’t get me wrong, a lot of women actually have lives in which are separate from their significant other. They don’t plan their days around their men. These women have their own agenda that doesn’t require the company of a man. In turn, there could be some moments when you feel like you and your better half could stand a few hours or even days away from one another just to keep things fresh.

However, so many women struggle with this issue so I’ve come up with the perfect scenario: Your man wants to hang out with the guys for the night to watch the game and say’s he wont be gone long. As the secure woman you are, you tell him to go have some fun and enjoy himself. He hasn’t been gone an hour and you’ve already gotten antsy.

Let’s be honest for a second. Was it watching him walk out the door that triggered your anxiety? Or are you just a “worry-wart”? Is finding ways to occupy your time becoming more and more exhausting than ever before? Then girl its time to get into you!

Ask yourself, how has your time management been lately? Have you spent time with your girlfriends in a while? And most importantly, when was the last time you’ve had some alone time? This would be a great time to grab a good book and pair it with your favorite bottle of wine. This could also serve as a good time to pamper yourself. Go shopping, treat yourself to a massage or pedicure, maybe even for dinner and a movie. Another suggestion would be to surround yourself in the company of others. Try gathering up the girls for a ladies night for some good food, drinks and laughter. They say that good company is the best company. This beats wondering what he’s doing or even worse, calling to check in on him every 5 minutes. We all know that boredom is the devil and with so much idle time you could become very anxious. And with a little time apart it could actually be beneficial and gain you some brownie points. Speaking of sweet treats, find a new hobby like baking! Surprisingly this will set the stage because what man doesn’t want to come home to see his woman being all domestic?

When your man does finally decide to return home, you’ll be able to exchange details on the time you both spent apart. Ladies, guys secretly adore a woman who has her own agenda and not cramping his style. Its ok spend time with him and act as if you love sports, video games and all that other masculine stuff but truth is, you will never be one of the guys. So let him go out, agree to it and send him on his way. Nine times out of ten, he’s thinking about what you’re doing, wondering if he should call first and trying to hide from his boys just how eager he is to get back to you.
