Ballerific Sports: Former NFL Player Montee Ball Avoids Felony Charges

Former Denver Broncos running back, Montee Ball, will not face felony charges following an argument with his girlfriend on Friday. Instead on Monday, prosecutors charged Ball with a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct.

Ball and his girlfriend were at a downtown Madison hotel when the two got into an argument. When police arrived, the woman told them that they were arguing when he threw her in the air, and she cut her leg after landing on a table.

In a criminal complaint five days earlier, Ball was charged with misdemeanor battery in Dane County Circuit Court for allegedly striking his girlfriend.

Ball was released from jail on Monday and is scheduled back in court on March 1.

If found guilty, he can face up to 90 days in jail for the disorderly conduct misdemeanor and a maximum 9 month jail sentence for the battery charge.
