BET is set to honor American record producer, musician, composer, and film producer Quincy Jones with his own special called “Q85.”
Jones is responsible for producing many talents we see on TV like Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith, and working with legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Jackson and more. Now his work of 70 years will be highlighted in a special show entitled, “Q85: A Musical Celebration For Quincy Jones.”
The show will feature a lineup of performances by Brian McKnight, Meghan Trainor, John Legend, Gladys Knight and more. Winfrey is set to host the evening event. The tribute comes after his hit documentary on Netflix “Quincy,” which was produced by his daughter Rashida Jones. Other guests who are set to appear are Jennifer Hudson, Patti Austin, Gloria Estefan and more.
Jones’ 85th year celebration will air on December 3rd at 7 PM on BET.
