BET Issues Statement In Regards To Gabrielle Union Lawsuit

Gabrielle Union

BET is standing their ground after news of a lawsuit from Gabrielle Union spread like wild fire. According to reports, Gabrielle Union is suing BET for what her legal team is calling “outrageous conduct.” Union says that though her contract clearly states that she will film no more than 13 episodes per season of Being Mary Jane, BET is trying to squeeze out nearly 10 more episodes in Season 4, not only to extend the term of her contract but  to avoid paying her a per season raise for Season 5.

BET has since responded to those claims.

“While we hold Gabrielle Union in the highest esteem, we feel strongly that we are contractually well within our rights and are committed to reaching a swift and positive resolution in this matter,” read a statement from the network.

Do you think both parties will handle things amicably or will they be seeing each other in court?
