Beyoncé Considering Buying into Houston Rockets Franchise

We all know that Beyoncé and Jay-Z can frequently be found sitting court side during basketball season, but rumor has it that Bey may be going from NBA fan to owner.

Houston Rockets owner, Les Alexander, is putting the team up for sale, and it could break the $2 billion record set by the sale of the LA Clippers just three years ago. Sources close to the situation say ‘Yonce is considering making the investment in her hometown team, and would likely buy into the franchise with a larger investment group.

This wouldn’t be the first go round with the NBA for the Carter family either; Jay-Z previously held a minority stake in the Brooklyn Nets before selling his share to represent athletes through Roc Nation Sports. Other celebs who’ve invested in pro sports franchises include Justin Timberlake with the Memphis Grizzlies and Venus and Serena Williams with the Miami Dolphins (just to name a few).

Bey’s camp has yet to comment on the rumors, but it’s safe to say that adding her superstar presence to the ownership group would definitely be a win for all involved.
