Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” Has Us Entering Our Cowboy/Cowgirl Era, Here’s How You Can Too:

As the world gears up for Beyoncé’s highly anticipated country album, the BeyHive is gearing up for this latest era.

“Cowboy Carter” is due out on Friday, March 29th, and Bey gave fans a taste of what to expect with lead singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold Em.” The latter of the two hit No. 1 on the Billboard 100, while “16 Carriages” peaked at No. 38. While there has been much conversation surrounding whether or not Bey can pull off country, the Houston superstar has proven her ability to cross into multiple genres, especially with her Grammy Award-winning project, “Renaissance.”

As we experienced with ACT I, fans showed up and showed out with their various chrome looks to match the theme of her critically acclaimed album and tour. Therefore, with “Cowboy Carter” on the horizon, it’s only fitting that we usher in the new cowboy and cowboy eras appropriately.

A cowboy hat is essential in the days of ACT II. If you choose to do your big one, Dolce & Gabbana has its gorgeous Crystal-Embellished DG Wool Cowboy Hat, which retails for $1,125. For those partaking in “Cowboy Carter” festivities on a budget, Amazon, Target, and even Walmart have you covered with a Vorkoi Women & Men Felt Western Cowboy Hat for just $8.99. Additionally, the cowboy boots are essential. Nearly every fashion brand will have a cowboy boot of some kind. If you wanna jazz it all the way up, Givenchy has created its iconic Shark Boot with a Western pattern, though it’ll run you around $2,795. However, you can always keep it simple with Amazon’s over 10,000 versions to choose from.

If Bey is headed on tour with this album, dusting off the line dancing skills is essential. While you may not be well-versed in line dances, TikTok has you covered. Searching “Beyoncé’s line dances” is exactly what you’ll need to get in formation this time around. If you need more personal practice, googling line dance classes in your area might be the perfect way to kick off this new era.

You must add a bit of Dolly Parton to your playlist to fully appreciate a cowboy and cowgirl era. While we know that Dolly has hits for days, start with one of her most popular singles, “Jolene.” This will be especially useful during the ACT II days, considering that Bey confirmed rumors that she would be covering the internationally known record following the release of her tracklist.

As we embrace the new cowboy and cowgirl era in preparation for Beyoncé’s country era, we must infuse our approach with a mix of style, music knowledge, and Western dance flare.
