When You’re Over Your Hoe Phase

Let’s be honest, most of us have gone through a phase when we were a little extra friendly with the box, your “hoe phase”.  A phase can be any amount of time, even if you just had a summer full of sexual adventures that was beyond your usual standard.  Everyone’s standards are different, so just use your own definition of “hoe” for this post.

So your hoe phase is over, you’re delivert, and you’re ready to move on. Now, you may or may not want to immediately get into a relationship, you may just want to abstain from sex altogether…but some things are going to change.  You might not enjoy going to the club as much anymore.  It sucks, but your experience changes because men WILL hit on you, and they’re not the type of men you’re looking for if you’re over this phase.  It might just be a little less enjoyable and a vibe killer when you’re going out and dancing with your girls.

There are so many women that become homebodies after their hoe phase is over.  You can get a little stuck initially because you don’t want to be a hoe, but you don’t want to run and get married.  This is when women either throw themselves into work or bettering themselves.  It’s an important and pretty awesome part of the process.  Go ahead and Pintrest some at-home beauty treatments.

Now when you’re ready to date, that’s when it becomes a little tricky. When you like ballers you’re not going to run and start dating the manager at Target.  It’s trickier to date a baller and not be a hoe.  Am I saying women that like ballers are hoes? No.  But I am saying that it is easier to be more sexually fluid with baller because the lifestyle is just different. You know that. And chances are that regular guy just isn’t doing it for you.  It’s all about finding balance.  Finding a guy that can give you that thrill of a baller (and hopefully some of the pockets) but not ’bout that life at the core.

Dating already sucks in 2015, but at least you made it through the hoe phase unscathed (hopefully).  Share your thoughts and stories!
