Brittney Griner Says Marriage Was A Huge Mistake, Glory Reveals She’s Not Lesbian

Brittney Griner fought back tears when she sat down with ESPN to talk about her relationship with Glory Johnson. In the interview she discussed everything from the couple’s very public fight, to the annulment she filed just a day after Glory announced she was pregnant.

When asked about the pregnancy Griner says it came as a surprise when Glory made the announcement on Instagram. “I was definitely surprised,” Griner answered carefully, “It’s very early. It’s too early to post or say anything about it and I was surprised.” Brittney Griner does not say the pregnancy itself took her by surprise, although it seemed as if that’s what the interviewer REALLY wanted to know.

Griner said that she was motivated to file the annulment after realizing she had made a huge mistake. “Prior to us getting married, I knew I didn’t want to … I shouldn’t have went through with it,” Brittney Griner said in a candid interview with ESPN. “You know, sometimes you feel pressured into things, and I went along with it. And I know I shouldn’t have. It was a huge mistake. I just knew it was a mistake.” She said that she talked to Glory about not wanting to get married and felt pressured into it. Griner says that with all of the counseling and classes, that moment wasn’t the best way to start off their marriage.

According to Griner, she and Glory agreed to the annulment via text message and for now, she just plans to submerge herself in basketball, the game she loves so much.

Brittney Griner was suspended 6 games for her role in the fight with Glory Johnson. She says she’s counting them down and awaiting her return.

Before all of this though, Glory and Brittney did an interview with the New York Times that surely added fuel to their fire of a relationship. In the interview Brittney reveals that Glory is straight. “Plus, Glory is straight,” Griner said. “That was another reason why I thought this could end really bad.”

“I’m not a lesbian,”   Johnson added. “But Brittney is different. I still don’t really feel like I’m attracted to females in general. It’s just that I’m attracted to just one person.”

So here we have Glory Johnson, who is exploring lesbianism for the first time, gets into a quick and serious relationship with a woman, gets engaged and then realizes she still prefers men……and ends up pregnant. Yep, definitely a train wreck waiting to happen.
