Canelo Alvarez Signs $365 Million 11-Fight Deal

Blogged By Dex Ocean

On Wednesday, boxing star Canelo Alvarez signed a five-year, 11-fight deal worth a minimum of $365 million with streaming service, DAZN.

After 45 years in the boxing game – showing most of the top fights – Premium Cable is calling it quits at the end of the year. Over the past few years, with the boost in technology, television ratings have dropped because of different streaming services.

DAZN, which only launched in the United States in September, is a new sports streaming service that’s been able to ink the deal with Canelo Alvarez. The deal will pay him until 2023.

With this deal, Alvarez becomes the highest paid athlete from sports contracts in the world, just ahead of Giancarlo Stanton of the New York Yankees who signed a 13-year deal for worth 325M!

Talking about getting to the BAG.
