Donald Trump Supporter Pastor Mark Burns Tweets a Cartoon of Hilary Clinton in Blackface – blogged by @MsJennyb

On Monday, an #AfricanAmerican pastor who has been a dedicated supporter of #DonaldTrump, tweeted a cartoon of Democratic presidential candidate #HilaryClinton, in blackface.

In the photo, Clinton is standing at a podium wearing a shirt that says, “No Hot Sauce, No Peace!” She is shown holding a sign that reads, “#@!* the police” and “I ain’t no ways tired of pandering to African-Americans.”

Pastor #MarkBurns tweeted the cartoon with a caption that read, “Black Americans, THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOTES and letting me use you again … See you again in 4 years.”

Burns also retweeted a photoshopped picture of Clinton in long, blonde, box braids that read, “when you need the black vote.”

Apparently, later that evening, Burns defended his actions declaring “I am standing by that picture,” #NPR reports.

“The tweet is a frustration that I have as a black man here in America and how I see African-Americans in many cases … are suffering throughout this country. And to see how, en masse, we have been voting for the #Democratic Party, en masse, and yet we have very little to show for it.”

According to NPR, Burns acknowledged that blackface is offensive but managed to shift the focus towards African American poverty saying, “what’s more offensive is not so much that there’s just blackface, but that millions of African-Americans are on welfare, thousands of African-Americans.”

In a poor attempt to reel in the minority vote, Burns ultimately ended up insinuating black people hated the police while also insulting our intelligence with an ignorant offensive photo.
