Two middle school students were arrested on Tuesday after orchestrating a plot to kill their classmates in a satanic ritual, in which they planned to drink their victims’ blood.
According to ABC News, the Florida students – ages 11 and 12 – were caught ahead of their planned attack, after a staff member found them hiding in a school bathroom with weapons. Officials say the preteens had four knives, a knife sharpener, a pizza cutter and a goblet to drink the blood, as part of their plan to kill at least 15 classmates who entered the restroom.
“They had a strong belief in satanism and they believed the more people they killed the faster they would go to hell,” the Bartow Police Chief said of the young girls. “They were looking for easy targets that they could attack with little or no resistance,” which explains why they were waiting for “smaller kids” to easily overpower.
Although further details about the minors have yet to be released, police say the two had been planning the ritual since the weekend, as officials recovered text messages between the two that revealed their intention stab their victims, cut their throats, eat their flesh, and kill themselves to be with Satan.
Luckily, the girls were caught before anyone was hurt. As a result, they were both charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
