Former Trump Campaign Staffer Accuses Celebrity-in-Chief of Trying To Forcibly Kiss Her Without Her Consent

Amid ongoing allegations against Donald Trump, in regards to illegal activity surrounding his presidential campaign, the celebrity-in-chief has been slapped with a lawsuit over his alleged behavior on the trail.

In a recent interview with The Washington Post, Alva Johnson, who worked as a staffer for Trump’s campaign after voting for Barack Obama twice, detailed the uncomfortable experience that led to her most recent filing.

“I immediately felt violated because I wasn’t expecting it or wanting it,” Johnson said of the time Trump tried to kiss her without her consent at a 2016 Florida rally. “I can still see his lips coming straight for my face.”

According to Johnson, the incident occurred on August 25 in Tampa, where Trump grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her as he left an RV outside the rally. She said although she managed to avoid his lips, the “super-creepy and inappropriate” kiss landed on the side of her mouth.

“I’ve tried to let it go,” Johnson explained of the incident. “You want to move on with your life. I don’t sleep. I wake up at 4 in the morning looking at the news. I feel guilty. The only thing I did was show up for work one day.”

According to Daily Mail, Johnson’s work as the campaign’s director of outreach and coalitions was limited to Alabama until three months before the general election, in which she was assigned to Florida to manage the RVs that traveled as mobile campaign offices.

On this particular day in August, Johnson said after Trump greeted volunteers and prepared to speak at the rally, they exchanged a few words, which prompted the then-presidential candidate to take her hand, thank her for her work and lean in for the kill.

Although she said both the director of the Florida campaign and the then-Florida attorney general witnessed the incident, both denied seeing anything inappropriate. In fact, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders also denied the allegations, saying, “This never happened and is directly contradicted by, multiple highly credible eye witness accounts.”

In the meantime, Johnson is demanding damages for emotional pain and suffering. She is also suing for discrimination, as she claims she was paid less than her white male counterparts on the campaign.
