Fox Pulled Demi Lovato’s Episode of “Beat Shazam” Hours Ahead of Airing After Lovato’s Apparent Overdose

On Tuesday, DemiLovato was hospitalized after suffering an apparent overdose in her Hollywood Hills home. 

As details surfaced of the incident, as well as Lovato’s addiction, many sent their thoughts and prayers to the singer. However, amid the well wishes, Fox decided to pull an episode of “Beat Shazam” that featured the singer, which was set to premiere later that day. 

“In light of recent reports, we have decided to replace the episode of BEAT SHAZAM with another all new-episode,” the network said in a statement, adding, “Our thoughts go out to Demi and her family.”

According to reports, Lovato’s episode was taped back in December, but set to air on Tuesday night. In fact, the singer shared a clip from the episode on Twitter just hours before her overdose.

In the meantime, as Lovato recovers, Thursday night’s show in Atlantic City has been cancelled.
