Earlier this week, a 33-year-old Instagram fitness model died in a freak kitchen accident involving a whipped cream container.

On Wednesday, the family of Rebecca Burger took to Instagram to warn about the dangers of the type of canister Burger used in the fatal incident.

“This is an example of the whipped cream canister that exploded and struck Rebecca’s chest, resulting in her death,” the post read. “To be clear: The siphon that caused her death was sealed. Do not use this type of device in your home! Tens of thousands of defective appliances are still in circulation.”

In a following post, the family confirmed Burger’s death, as reports surfaced confirming an investigation on whether the siphon used to create the dispenser was defective.

“It is with great sadness we announce the death of Rebecca who died the June 18th, 2017 in an accident in the home. The grieving family.”

Although the cause of death has yet to be confirmed, French officials reported that French fitness model went into cardiac arrest after the incident. Initially, paramedics managed to revive her, but she fell unconscious on the way to the hospital. One day later, Burger passed away.

According to reports, pressurized devices, such as the whipped cream canister Burger used, have led to several serious injuries in France, including the loss of an eye and a chest fracture in two separate cases.
