Guns, Fingerprints And Rental Car Link Kodak Black To March Shooting

The Feds have been watching; and according to them, Florida rapper Kodak Black has been linked to a March shooting, targeting an alleged rival rapper.

Prosecutors say Kodak bought three weapons and over 100 rounds of ammunition in February. The problem is, one of those weapons reportedly had his fingerprints on it at the scene of a non-fatal shooting in the Golden Acres neighborhood in Pompano Beach, FL.

Reportedly using forged documents from January to purchase firearms, Kodak bought a Mini Draco, a Sig MPX K 9mm, and a Sig P238 .380 handgun. Federal prosecutors say the MPX K was the weapon they found after the shooting.

According to Complex, a Porsche Panamera Kodak rented was found abandoned away from the scene by police officers, and after downloading GPS data from the car, they pinpointed it at the scene of the shooting during the suspected time frame of the incident.

Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, responded to prosecutors’ claims, stating there are currently no reports that Kodak’s fingerprints were on the gun. “Witnesses came forward to us as well and stated they did not see Kodak Black at the scene that night,” he stated. Investigators say they found a live round jammed in the chamber of the MPX K.

Cohen insists that multiple people vouched for Kodak’s alibi that night. However, prosecutors say they have witnesses coming forward saying he was there the night of the shooting.

Kodak was previously indicted for sexual assault on a teenage girl in 2016 and is facing up to 30 years in prison. However, upon completing his application to legally purchase guns and ammo, Kodak did not disclose he was under indictment and is now facing up to 10 years in prison for allegedly providing false information on a firearm application.
