A mother will be serving 20 years in jail for allowing her boyfriend to sexually assault and impregnate her 10-year-old daughter.
On Tuesday, (Sept. 25), 33-year-old Jennifer Hand pleaded guilty to neglect and aiding child molesting and assisting criminal charges. She admitted that she let her 34-year-old boyfriend.
Nicholas Thrash rape and molest her 10-year-old daughter while he lived with her. Hand moved to Indiana with her daughter and boyfriend after the girl told Georgia police about the abuse.

In May 2017, the girl testified in court saying her mother gave her a pregnancy test, when she discovered she was pregnant she took her to get an abortion. Indiana Child Services launched an investigation following the procedure which led to Thrash’s arrest. Hand was found guilty of lying to authorities on where Thrash was at the time.

The girl is now in foster care and undergoing therapy. Hand will not be able to contact her daughter until the child’s counselor deems it “appropriate.” The girl’s abuse started at the age of 8, she is now 12. Reports show she was assaulted at least 15 times. The girl gave birth to a boy last year; the baby was put up for adoption.

According to Vibe.com, Thrash was convicted on 10 counts of molestation and sentenced to 160 years in prison last week. Thrash plans to appeal the conviction.
