Issa Rae To Star In Fox Romantic Comedy “American Princess”

Issa Rae, co-creator and star of the HBO hit series, “Insecure,” is heading to the big screen to star in the Fox romantic comedy, “American Princess.” 

Written by Amy Aniobi, the film is set to be produced by “Bridesmaids’” Paul Feig, alongside Jessie Henderson and Brendan O’Brien. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rae will play an American woman who moves to London, gets sucked into the lavish lifestyle of the high society and falls in “love in a very unexpected way.” 

The news of Rae’s new project comes on the heels of her appearance in the new critically acclaimed drama, “The Hate U Give,” which hit theaters last week. In addition to that, Rae just wrapped filming the Universal comedy, “Little,” in which she stars alongside, “Black-ish” star Marsai Martin.
