Jaden Smith to Play Kanye West in New Anthology Series

Kanye West and Jaden Smith have partnered creatively to co-produce a new limited anthology series on Showtime. 

According to Dateline, “Omniverse,” written by Lee Sung Jin (Amazon’s Undone), will focus on “the many doors of perception.”

Smith has already been cast to portray a young, “alternate reality” version of West in the show and they have announced that Season 1 will examine the ego.

Dateline added that entertainment mogul Scooter Braun is also set to executive produce, along with his business partners James Shin and Scott Manson on behalf of SB Projects, which is his media company. Miguel Melendez and Smith are set to executive produce on behalf of Westbrook Studios.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“Omniverse” is Kanye’s first attempt at major television production.
