After the sudden cancellation of a leg of her Unbreakable tour, concerns of Janet Jackson’s health came to the forefront. Now after months of public speculation, the pop star is speaking out and clearing things up.
According to Jackson, the cancellations occurred because she is planning a family with her husband, Wissam Al Mana. “On August 31, as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable World Tour,” Jackson tells fans. “There actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
Jackson stated that she had to rest per doctor’s orders, but there was never any health scares involved. She continued, “Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up. Doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Jackson, who released Unbreakable the album in October of 2015, still plans to continue touring soon. “I can’t wait for us to get started again,” she said.
