Jay-Z Says Law Firms Charged Him Too Much for the Purchase of Tidal; Wants Lawsuit Thrown Out

Two Swedish law firms are claiming #JayZ didn’t want to pay them what they were owed, but #Hov says they aren’t getting one more cent.

The two Swedish law firms, Roschier and SEB, claim Jay-Z’s S. Carter Enterprises owes them more than a half a million dollars for the purchase of his music streaming service #Tidal.

Roschier claims they still need $294,000 and SEB says Jay-Z still owes them $303,383. However, according to court documents obtained by the Blast, Jay-Z claims both firms “performed certain services for which they have been paid yet seek additional compensation.” He also alleges that whatever money they claim he owes them came from their “own culpable conduct in overbilling” him.

Hov goes onto say the firms never fulfilled the jobs they were paid to perform, claiming they did not “perform under the contracts they now seek to enforce.” Now S. Carter Enterprises wants to have the lawsuit dismissed completely.
