Jeffrey Epstein Commits Suicide In New York Jail

Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire financier who was facing federal sex trafficking charges, has died of an apparent suicide in his Lower Manhattan Jail Cell.

Epstein had been on suicide watch since July, after he was found unresponsive in his cell at Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan, according to ABC News.

The 66-year-old was arrested last month for alleged sex trafficking of minor girls at his Upper East Side mansion and his home in Palm Beach, Florida. The sex trafficking dates back to the early 2000s.

Epstein was set to stand trial next year.
