John Singleton Hospitalized After Mild Stroke

Legendary director and screenwriter, John Singleton is in the hospital after suffering from a stroke.

Singleton reportedly checked himself into a medical facility earlier this week after experiencing weakness in one of his legs. According to family members, John flew back from Costa Rica, and the flight may have triggered the medical emergency.

TMZ reports doctors are performing tests and he is undergoing rehab, following what’s being described as a “mild” stroke.

The 51-year-old is known for creating classics like ‘Boyz N The Hood,’ ‘Poetic Justice’ and ‘Rosewood,’ in addition to series’ like ‘Empire’ and ‘Snowfall.’
