The “mild stroke” John Singleton suffered last week has been found to be a lot more serious than first revealed. The famed movie director actually had a major stroke and is now in a coma.
Singleton’s family is reportedly in the process of establishing a conservatorship for him, while John’s mom, Shelia Ward, is asking a judge to appoint her temporary conservator in the meantime because he is “unable to properly provide for his personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.”
Ward stated at the time John suffered the stroke, he was engaged in several business projects and was on track to sign a lucrative settlement agreement. She wants to handle those affairs and execute the settlement agreement.
The “Boyz N the Hood” director does not have a medical directive, hence the need for a conservatorship.
