Judge Dismisses Stormy Daniels’ Defamation Case Against Trump

On Monday, a federal judge tossed Stormy Daniels’ defamation lawsuit against Celebrity-in-Chief, Donald Trump. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to the Hill, the judge’s decision came one month after he said the tweet at the center of the case was more of a “rhetorical hyperbole” instead of defamation.

If you recall, Daniels filed the suit in April over Trump’s tweet about Daniels’ sketch of the man, who she claimed threatened her.

“A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job,” Trump wrote, “Playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!”

While Daniels argued that the tweet accused her of lying about the incident, Trump’s lawyer said the tweet was his way of “calling B.S.” on the claim, not a statement of fact.

But now, the judge has sided with Trump, ruling in his favor. However, Celebrity-in-Chief is not completely off the hook, as Daniels is still suing Trump and his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, over a 2016 nondisclosure agreement.
