Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift: The Feud Continues – blogged by @MsJennyb

Kanye West took the stage in Manila, Philippines, on Sunday to deliver another rant; this one revisited his 2009 Taylor Swift disruption at the MTV VMA’s.

Following his performance of “Famous,” in which the outspoken rapper says  “I made that b**** [Taylor Swift] famous,” he confesses to the crowd that the song broke his writer’s block and the controversial lyric had been something he wanted to say so badly, but was told he couldn’t.

The lyric reignited the feud between the two celebrities. While ‘Ye claimed Swift received an advanced copy of the song, the mega pop star’s reaction of disgust and disbelief seemed to suggest otherwise. Swift’s team contradicted ‘Ye’s claim that he has since retracted and the quarrel continued as the “Life of Pablo” rapper shared his thoughts in the Philippines.

The rapper explained to the festival audience, “that night when I went on the stage, was the beginning and the end of my life… I was just saying what everybody else was thinking” Kanye said referring to his VMA interruption to announce Beyoncé should have won ‘Best Female Video’ over Swift.

Kanye West believes he has had to constantly defend himself against the Taylor Swift situation since then.

“And I had to fight every day for the rest of my life with the whole world turned against me for saying out loud what everyone else felt,” West said. “But that’s the job of the artist, of a true artist: not to be controlled by their finances, not to be controlled by perception, but only to be controlled by their truth.”
