You all had a good run, Reebok but Nike is here to finish the race. Years and numerous Reebok designs later, Kendrick has announced his new shoe endorsement deal with Nike.
K. Dot took to Twitter with celebratory news writing in caption with his endorsement pic, “Cortez. Since day one,” and added the hash tag #TeamNike.
And this isn’t his first time he’s professed his love for the Nike Cortez. Back in 2013 on his verse of Big Sean’s “Control,” he stated, “and I aint rockin’ no more designer sh*t, white tees, and Nike Cortez, this red Corvette’s anonymous.” He’s also been seen wearing Cortezs often these last few months and most popularly at the end of his music video, “ELEMENT.”
However from 2014 to early 2017, Lamar had a deal with Reebok revamping classic styles like Classic Leather, the Ventilator and Club C. Lamar partnership was also about bringing change and unity – designing shoes with the colors of rival gangs together in a single pair of Reeboks to promote unity and change.
Little is known about what exactly the Nike deal entails but we’re sure Kung-Fu-Kenny won’t disappoint!
