Kevin Hart Set To Star in Superhero Comedy Film ’Night Wolf’

Kevin Hart landed a new starring role in STXFilms superhero comedy “Night Wolf.”

Hart will play an everyday man meeting his future in-laws with a twist, discovering his father in-law’s alter ego is a superhero known as Night Wolf.

“After we acquired Night Wolf, we submitted it to Kevin Hart and the Team at HartBeat hoping they would love it as much as we did. It is a big, broad comedy, and the idea is great fun and perfectly matched with Kevin’s comedic talent. We are thrilled to be working on what will now be our fourth film together,” said Chairman of STXfilms Adam Fogelson in an announcement.

The comedic rockstar says he “instantly fell in love” with the pitch from screenwriters Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, the men behind ’Detective Pikachu.’

“I am excited to be working with our friends at STX again. They brought us a great project with Night Wolf,” said Hart as said in Deadline.

STXFilms acquired the project and Kevin Hart, along with his HartBeat Productions, will produce the film,  according to Variety.

Just earlier this year, STX Entertainment announced a partnership with HartBeat Productions to produce two comedy projects with Hart as the star. ’Night Wolf’ will be the third project under the collaboration after the previously announced ’Black Friday’ and ’The Upside’ which premiered January 2019 grossing more than $100M.
