Just weeks after Laurence Fishburne’s wife, #GinaTorres, announced the couple’s separation, the “Black-ish” star has initiated the first steps to end his marriage. According to TMZ, Fishburne has filed for divorce.
Torres was recently spotted out with a mystery man, packing on the PDA in Los Angeles. The photos sparked rumors and speculation, prompting Torres to confirm the couple’s split, which she said occurred a year ago.
“With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year,” she said. “There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected.”
The couple wed in 2002.
