Lavar Ball Reportedly Looking to Land a Reality Show and Documentary

It was only a matter of time before Lavar Ball took his trash-talking talents to the television screen on his own project.

According to TMZ Sports, the former NFL player is looking to lock down several projects featuring his family and of course, his ego.

Although Lavar’s production company, Big Baller Media, is still working to secure the finances for the projects, he has reportedly received “several offers” to appear on the small screen, including a potential reality show and a documentary. While a trailer for the documentary has already been filmed and ready to go, “no contracts have been signed,” says TMZ.

In the meantime, the Ball family will prepare for the NBA draft as Lavar’s eldest son, Lonzo, has announced he will be declaring, following UCLA’s loss to Kentucky in the NCAA tournament. However, though Lavar’s antics may be good for television, many believe his confidence in his son and debatable remarks may add extra unwanted pressure on the young college star. According to Bleacher Report, an NBA general manager provided his opinion on Lavar and his effect on his son, wondering how it will affect the former Bruin in the future.

“It doesn’t help, all this stuff with his father,” the GM said. “I don’t know what is gained for the kid by putting that much pressure on him. Nobody from the league has been meeting with (#LonzoBall ) or anything, but that is going to be another thing to look at when it comes to due diligence before the draft. How does he handle his dad, is it just something he laughs about or is it real pressure on him?”

In any case, whether people like it or not, Ball appears to be here to stay, with his two younger sons, LiAngelo and LaMelo on their way to UCLA.
