Let’s Talk: Could You Date a Social Media Troll?

When it comes to our baes, we always intend to have their back no matter what. But sometimes, they just make it really difficult to support their crazy antics.

In the age of social media, trolls have become a hot status that many people inspire to obtain. Why? Because what better showcase of power than to get people, influential people at that, upset with you.

If you’re now realizing that your partner might fall into this category, let me be straight up and tell you to nip this in the bud now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Encouraging your partner to express themselves and their opinions in social spaces is one thing. But allowing your partner to purposely upset, irritate, and embarrass themselves, is another.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Ask yourself, why is my partner seeking this type of attention? Do they not have other concerns to be worried about? What’s the real underlying issue?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Out of care and concern, talk to your bae and let them know that provoking and upsetting people is not an example of power. It instead shows immaturity and is honestly embarrassing to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Encourage them to work through their issues and ask themselves, why am I seeking this kind of power? Do I not feel powerful on my own?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
And in the words of Charlamagne Tha God, always remember that hurt people, hurt people. Help your boo work through their issues before they end up provoking you to leave their ass.
