LL Cool J And Ice Cube Have Their Eyes On Acquiring Several Sports TV Stations

LL Cool J and Ice Cube are a part of a “powerful group looking to bid on 22 regional sports channels, ” according to TMZ, and they’re jumping in on the opportunity at the right time.

Thanks to #Disney, who owns ESPN and acquired 21st Century Fox, Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports Southwest, and MANY other channels are up for grabs.

Lawmakers believe that just because Disney owns ESPN, they shouldn’t own all of Fox’s sports networks. Now, the Justice Department is forcing Disney to sell the sports stations.

Amongst the stations up for sale is the YES Network, which would be extremely lucrative for whoever buys the New York-based sports channel because it broadcasts Yankee games and Yankee fans spend money for their team. Disney says the YES Network is worth $5-$6 billion alone, but the deal for all 22 sports channels is expected to be between $15-$25 billion.

The rap icons have aligned themselves with billionaire #AlexandAni jewelry founder Carolyn Rafaelian for the venture that begins initial bids on November 8.
