Man Who Killed Venus and Serena Williams’ Sister Released From Prison Because Of Good Behavior

The man who killed #Venus and Serena Williams’ sister has been released from prison.

#YetundePrice is the half-sister of the Williams sisters, who was killed in a drive-by shooting back in 2003 in Compton, Calif. The shooter, Robert Maxfield was sentenced to 15 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter in 2006. Because of good behavior he was released three years earlier than the full length of his sentenced, according to TMZ sports.

At the start of the tennis sisters’ careers, Price served as their part-time personal assistant. While driving with her boyfriend, Price was struck by a bullet from Maxfield. Police reports say Price’s boyfriend was the intended target. Unfortunately that bullet killed Price, 30, instantly.

To honor their sister, Serena and Venus opened the Yetunde Price Resource Center in Compton in 2016. There, residents can find resources to help with violence and trauma.
