Man Rescued After Proposal Goes South – blogged by @MsJennyb

An engagement is the beginning of the beautiful life you will spend with your significant other. However, what happens when your proposal doesn’t go as planned?

Things could get a little rocky.

Authorities were called to rescue a man Thursday, April 7, after he got stuck on a rock ledge while proposing to his girlfriend via FaceTime, according to ABC News.

27 year old Michael Banks climbed 600-foot Morro Rock to propose to his girlfriend but decided to take a much steeper trail down. To his surprise, he found himself on a sheer ledge, 80 feet off the ground, with no other direction to go.

Rescuers called in a helicopter, and Morro Bay fire department Captain Todd Gailey descended by cable to recover Banks.

At this point, things went from bad to worse. Banks returned to Morro Rock following his rescue and was arrested for alleged drug possession after someone said they noticed him ‘acting under the influence’. Records state, he was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond. He was also billed for the helicopter ride and other related cost concerning to his rescue.

On the bright side, Banks’ girlfriend said, “YES!”

Ladies, how do you picture being proposed to? Fellas, how do you imagine proposing to your lady?
