Mark Salling Prosecutors Ask Judge To Toss Child Porn Case In The Wake Of Actor’s Suicide

According to TMZ, prosecutors have just filed docs to ask a judge to toss Mark Salling’s child pornography case in the wake of his suicide.

Prior to his death, Salling was on the hook for possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor. The actor had been charged with 2 counts of child porn after officials found 50,000 images of child porn and erotica on his computer.

However, Salling struck a plea deal with prosecutors in exchange for $50k in restitution per victim and 4 to 7 years in prison, instead of the original 20 he had been facing. But, the sentencing decision was ultimately up to the judge.

Now though, in the wake of Salling’s death, prosecutors are looking to toss the case altogether. However, according to TMZ, prosecutors are asking the indictment be dismissed “without prejudice,” which would theoretically allow them to refile.
