Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennet turned himself in on Monday, just three days after officials issued a warrant for his arrest for injuring a paraplegic woman after the Super Bowl.

In the incident, Bennett, who witnessed the New England Patriots’ incredible comeback from the stands, ran down to the field after the team’s win to see and celebrate with his brother, Martellus, who was a tight-end for the team at the time. However, as he tried to get onto the field at the NRG Stadium in Houston, he pushed through security, including a 66-year-old woman in a wheelchair.

According to local news, the woman was a stadium employee who reportedly told Bennett to use a different entrance to get onto the field. Instead, Bennett reportedly forced his way through, shoving the old lady and two other people. In fact, officials say he even ignored a police officer’s request to stop as he proceeded to the field.

As a result, the 66-year-old said she suffered a sprained shoulder, and Bennett was slapped with the felony charge of injury to the elderly, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

On Monday, the baller stood before a judge, who then set Bennett’s bond at $10,000 and imposed a no-contact order between Bennett and the victim.
