Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Sentenced to Prison in Tax Evasion Case

Four years after the initial indictment for conspiring to defraud the United States, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been sentenced to prison. 

Friday morning, the ”Jersey Shore” star showed up to federal court with the support of his fiancée Lauren Pesce and his “Jersey Shore” roommates and costars for sentencing in his case. 

In 2014, the Situation was indicted  alongside his brother, Marc, then in 2017, the two were slapped with additional charges for tax evasion and falsifying records. Nine months later, the two pleaded guilty – with one count of tax evasion for Sorrentino and one count of aiding in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return for his brother. 

Since then, both men have been sentenced to prison time and supervised release. According to PEOPLE, while Sorrentino will have to serve eight months behind bars with two years of supervised release, his brother will serve two years behind bars and one year of supervised release.
