Mr. T Sues Weed Company For Using His Name To Sell Bud

Leafly, the largest cannabis digital market in the world, is in some legal trouble with Mr. T, who has accused them of using his name without permission. 

In the lawsuit, Mr. T claims the weed company is ruining his reputation by using his name, according to TMZ. 

Legal documents obtained by TMZ state the product hybrid cannabis strain called Mr. Tusk uses “Mrt” as the logo to promote the strain, which as since upset the legendary actor. 

According to documents, Mr. T says the logo will confuse consumers, making them think he is affiliated with Leafly. He claims for nearly 40 years he has authorized his iconic name to be used for promotion and branded products, however his is not and never was on board with the weed company using “Mrt.”

The report says he will be suing for trademark infringement and for the company to stop using the “Mrt” name. 

However, in response, Leafy told TMZ, “We pity the absurdity of this claim.”
