MTV’s Catfish Host Nev Accused Of Sexual Misconduct;  Filming Suspended to Conduct Investigation

The host of the popular MTV TV series “Catfish”, Yaniv “Nev” Schulman, has been accused of sexual misconduct.  A woman who appeared on the show three years ago  made two Youtube videos claiming that someone named “Jack” made inappropriate sexual comments towards her during her taping.  Since the accusations were made, MTV has suspended filming for the reality series to undergo an investigation.

An MTV spokesperson made a statement in regards to the allegations, “We take these allegations very seriously,” the MTV spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday. “We’re working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.”

Schulman told Variety, “The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false.”

“Catfish” has been hosted by Nev and his partner Max Joseph since 2012.  If this allegation is proved to be true, do you think it could end the show?
