Nas Says Kelis Violated Custody Agreement 17 Times and Even Moved Their Son To Colombia Without His Permission

Nas has filed new documents in his longstanding custody battle with his ex-wife, Kelis, over their 9-year-old son, Knight.

According to The Blast, Nas has accused Kelis of violating their custody agreement by taking their son out of the country without telling him, and now, he’s demanding she face the consequences.

In documents obtained by the publication, the legendary rapper said he wants his ex found in contempt, as she has violated their agreement 17 times since January 2018. Apparently, the two had a holiday schedule in place that would allow Kelis to have custody on Christmas and Nas to have custody on New Year’s Eve, but according to the suit, “in or around December of 2018, Petitioner (Kelis) moved to Cartagena, Colombia and took the minor child without my consent.”

“On Christmas, Petitioner informed me by text message that although her ‘plan’ had been to bring the minor child back to me in Los Angeles for New Year’s, the plan had changed. She then stated that the new plan was to come back on January 4, 2019,” the suit continued, highlighting the fact that Nas didn’t even know Kelis pulled their son out of private school with the intention to homeschool him in Colombia.

In addition to that, Nas said Kelis didn’t even return on the 4th; instead, she made the rapper wait until the 14th, and during that entire time, Nas said he’d been unable to reach the nine-year-old while he was overseas. As a result, Nas wants his ex found in contempt for willfully violating the custody order and refusing him access to his son.
