NFL Week 13 Recap – Scores, Eli Manning and the New York Giants

Week 13 of the 2017-18 NFL season was messy to say the least. Players were severely injured this week, a legendary quarterback was benched and the head coach and GM of the New York Giants got the boot. However, aside from the drama, the nine-game winning streak for the Philadelphia Eagles was snapped in a match up against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.

On Thursday, the Cowboys defeated the Redskins, 38-14, which stopped the Eagles from securing the top spot of the NFC East. On Sunday, the Jets beat the Chiefs in a close game of 38-31. The Patriots demolished the Buffalo Bills, 23-3 and the Dolphins beat the Broncos, 35-9.

The 49ers barely made it out alive against the Bears, 15-14. The Ravens forty-pieced the Lions, 44-20. The Vikings beat the Falcons, 14-9 and the Packers beat the Buccaneers, 26-20. The Titans beat the Texans, 24-13 and the Jaguars pulled one out over the Colts, 30-10. The Chargers beat the Browns, 19-10, while the Rams defeated the Cardinals, 32-16.

After benching Eli Manning, snapping his 210 consecutive game start, Geno Smith lead the Giants team to a heartbreaking loss to the Oakland Raiders, 24-17. Following the game, the team’s coach and GM were fired. The Saints beat the Panthers, 31-21 and the Eagles fell to the Seahawks, 24-10. On Monday, tragedy struck on the field when Steelers LB Ryan Shazier was carted off the field with injury. Although the entire game was filled with dirty hits, the Steelers managed to secure the win over the Bengals, 23-20.
