Nick Gordon Opens Up About The Night Bobbi Kristina Drowned – blogged by @MsJennyb

Finally, after months of speculation, Nick Gordon is speaking publicly about what happened the night Bobbi Kristina Brown was found.

Bobbi Kristina died last July, at the age of 22, almost six months after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31st, 2015. While many people, including Brown’s court-appointed conservator, believed Gordon was responsible, he tells U.K’s Daily Mail, “I blame myself for not getting to Krissy quick enough that day.” Although, he adds, “I can’t blame myself for another addict’s addiction but I feel like I failed her.”

In his description of the incident, Gordon said that when he arrived at Brown’s home at 4 a.m., she was “messed up,” and several bottles of wine were left out.

“Krissy thought I was with some other females and that’s when she got upset. She called and said I had to come home,” Gordon explained to Daily Mail.

He continued detailing the night, reiterating that Brown was upset, thinking she had just been under the influence. The couple got into a little argument, made up, went upstairs and “did what adults do,” Gordon said.

After the fact, Gordon went back down stairs to play a video game and that is when his friend Max Lomas found Brown. Gordon asked Lomas to walk around the house with the cable guy, who was there to do “a bunch of stuff in the house.” Lomas ushered the cable guy into the couple’s room where the box was located, where he found Brown and immediately called out to Gordon.

“I knew instantly something was wrong. You know there’s a tone; you can hear it in someone’s voice.”

Eager to resuscitate his girlfriend, Gordon said he dropped to his knees and began CPR. “It was traumatizing,” he said, remembering after Brown spit up water, he “thought she was going to come around.”

Gordon revealed, although Brown’s family point fingers towards Gordon for her substance abuse issues, he insisted “she had problems long before I came on the scene.”

Brown’s downward spiral and drug use following the death of her mother, Whitney Houston, was a way to numb the pain, Gordon alleged. He claimed he was one of the only men Brown could trust, disclosing several lost pregnancies.

“We had a couple of miscarriages. We would have loved to have a kid but we weren’t planning on it yet and she was such a young fragile person it took a toll on her,” He told Daily Mail. “We wanted to get clean, settle down, get married, have kids.”

Nick Gordon will also return to Dr. Phil Thursday and Friday in a two-part episode to give an update on his life since the death of Brown.
