Nicole Arbour Slaps Her Whiteness On Childish Gambino’s “This Is America”

This is why we can’t have nice things – Black people, probably. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Earlier this month, #ChildishGambino dropped his powerful, politically charged song and visual “This is America.” The video showed themes of violence, from mass shootings to police brutality, and race relations in the United States, all while discussing the distractions amid the chaos.

As the video made its rounds, the culture appreciated the visual representation of the struggle, but it was only a matter of time until ‘they’ put their grubby hands on it and hurdled the entire point.

Over the weekend, YouTube comedian Nicole Arbour released a “feminist” version of Gambino’s masterpiece. Like Gambino’s powerful “This is America” video, Arbour’s “This Is America: Women’s Edit” was filmed in a warehouse, discussing equal pay and boobs, as if that is even remotely close to the importance of Black lives.

But, there was one interesting moment in her video that did feature a Black person. In fact, the woman was breastfeeding a baby when Arbour came behind her with a phone camera, as two men dragged her away. While it remains unclear what the moment even meant, one can only assume….(comment below).

In the meantime, Black Twitter dragged Arbour for the attempt.
