Offset’s Stepdad Calls Out Cardi B on Social Media For Bringing Family Drama to Social Media

Over the weekend, Cardi B made history as the first woman to headline the Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles. However, the pivotal moment was later hijacked by her husband, Offset, in his attempt to publicly apologize and win her back.

Accompanied by a $15,000 “Take Me Back Cardi” flower arrangement from Venus ET Fleur, Offset crashed Cardi’s performance and offered his sincerest apology. Although Cardi rejected the rapper’s kind gesture, he later took to Instagram to explain his thoughts behind his public display of affection.

“All my wrongs have been made public, I figure it’s only right that my apologies are made public too,” Offset wrote. “A nigga was just trying….thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheesh.”

Days later, Offset’s stepfather, who goes by Tony Pla on social media, took to Facebook to open up about the situation, and condemn his daughter-in-law for airing out their family’s dirty laundry on the Internet…all while airing their dirty laundry on the Internet.

“Right now, my family is going through a very tumultuous time,” he allegedly wrote in an Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Facebook group post. “What you see in the media is only the tip of the iceberg. Social media is a powerful tool, but certainly no place for family situations; however, our youth, specifically my son’s wife doesn’t understand that.”

“She seems to want to take everything to social media without regards to the devastation it has on others, past, present, and future or specially what it does to the other children,” he continued. “I say this not to say that my son is innocent, as he has done his share of dirt, but the whole scenario is a never-ending drama session.

“People do and say hurtful things about my family members daily; specifically my child. While he ain’t perfect, he is mine and as a parent, I have a duty to protect him,” he added. “Right now, I cannot do that. Like most young adults, he doesn’t always do what he’s advised to do, but we are talking about a 25-year-old with an unlimited supply of money, women chasing him, people at his disposal, etc. Couple that with a hot-headed female that thrives off of social media attention and is on the same financial level as/above him and it’s a recipe for disaster.”

From there, he continued to condemn Cardi, claiming everything from her divorce post to her post of Kulture, which was allegedly supposed to be released with Offset’s album, has affected him and his family.

“My whole family is in an uproar right now and I can’t fix it,” he said. “I am usually the fixer and Brothers that know me can attest to that. I don’t know what to do or where to turn.”

“I would give anything to simply go back to being a school teacher and coach,” he said. “Thanks for listening.”
